Who we are
Media Revive is developed and published by Arivon IT (“Arivonit”, “we”, “us”), a software company based in Moghbazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
This policy explains what information Media Revive handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Media Revive app on Android and iOS and to this page.
Information that stays on your device
Media Revive is built to work on your device. The following information is created, stored and processed only on your phone or tablet. It is not uploaded to our servers or anyone else’s, and we never receive it:
- The photos, videos, documents, audio and other files the app scans and previews
- File hashes and thumbnails used to preview and compare recoverable files
- Recovery history, such as scan type, time and the number of files found or restored
- Recycle bin contents, backups and your protection settings
This information stays on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
Information collected automatically
Media Revive uses the Google Firebase services below. They collect limited technical information automatically. This information never includes your files, documents, calculations or anything else you create in the app.
Google Analytics for Firebase
Shows us how the app is used, so we can see which features help people and what to improve. It collects:
- App usage events, such as screens viewed and features used
- When a session starts and how long it lasts
- App version, device model, operating system version and language
- Approximate location at country or city level, derived from your IP address
- An app-instance ID, a random identifier created when the app is installed
Firebase Crashlytics
Tells us when the app crashes and where in the code it failed, so we can fix it. It collects:
- The crash stack trace, which shows the part of the app's code that failed
- App version, device model and operating system version
- Device state at the time of the crash, such as free memory, free storage and screen orientation
- A Crashlytics installation ID, a random identifier for this installation

Permissions
Media Revive only asks for the permissions it needs, and your device lets you review or withdraw them at any time in its settings.

How we use information
We use the technical information described above only to:
- Keep the app stable and fix crashes and bugs
- Understand which features are used, so we can improve them
- Plan future updates
We do not use it to identify you personally, to build advertising profiles or to show ads. Media Revive does not contain ads. Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app reliable and improving it.
Recovered and deleted files
Files you restore are saved on your device in the location you choose. Files moved to the Media Revive recycle bin stay in private app storage on your device and are removed automatically after the cleanup period you set, or sooner if you empty the bin.
Data retention
Information on your device stays there until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
Firebase keeps crash reports for up to 90 days. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Firebase settings, which is no longer than 14 months, and is then deleted automatically.
Security
Your content does not leave your device through Media Revive, so it is protected by your device’s own security, such as your screen lock and storage encryption. Information sent to Firebase is encrypted in transit.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we keep what the app collects to the minimum it needs.
Your choices and rights
- Delete items: remove anything you created in the app at any time.
- Delete everything: uninstall the app, or on Android clear its storage in Settings. This removes all information the app stored on your device.
- Permissions: turn any permission off in your device settings. Features that need it will ask again when you use them.
- Analytics and crash data: this data is linked to a random installation ID rather than your name or email, so we usually cannot tell which records are yours. Clearing the app’s data or reinstalling it creates a new ID.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to how it is processed. Contact us and we will respond in line with the law that applies to you.
Children’s privacy
Media Revive is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app never asks for names, email addresses or other contact details. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Firebase may process the technical information described above on Google servers outside Bangladesh, including in the United States. Google protects this information as described in its terms and privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change significantly affects how your information is handled, we will also mention it in the app’s release notes.
